Cluster of Problems
About 22 years ago, I was separated from my wife, living in a dim little apartment. Drinking and using crystal meth to dull the pain. I became suicidal.
The physical impact of depression
After a short inpatient stay at our local hospital, I was diagnosed with MDD with anxiety. All these years later, and here I sit with my loving wife, but I have congestive heart failure. I laid undiagnosed in a hospital bed for three days. The lack of blood oxygen to my organs caused me to have chronic kidney disease and liver damage. So here I sit with a plethora of medical problems. But, you know what? I have outlived the statistics, and life is still good. It's all in how you view things.
