Susan Gonsalves lives in central Massachusetts and was diagnosed with depression and generalized anxiety disorder about 12 years ago. In addition, she has been living with chronic myelogenous leukemia since 2014. A career journalist, she is currently the editor-in-chief of a mental health publication, an education reporter at a newspaper, and contributes to the website as a writer and moderator. Read more.

Michael Havens

Michael Havens was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri and still calls the city his home today with his beloved cat, Orion. Born hard of hearing/deaf, Michael has always used his voice to advocate for himself, as well as any other groups that face discrimination or judgement for simply existing, which naturally extends to anyone struggling with their mental health. Benjamin Lloyd runs bxlloyd consulting, a learning and development practice that uses the power of play and applied improvisation to support extraordinary teams, groups, and communities. Heather Loeb

Heather Loeb lives in Corpus Christi, Texas, with her two children, husband and six cats. She has major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, avoidant personality disorder, ADHD and substance use disorder. Due to her severe depression, she has had more than 30 electroconvulsive therapy treatments. She is proud of this because it led to her recovery, which has been a long, but happy, road. Read more.

Anna Samson (they/she) is a queer, desi person in their twenties from Canada, living just outside of Toronto. They have a Bachelor of Arts in English & Cultural Studies and write about their experiences with disabilities. Read more.

TaKeira Simon

TaKeira Simon, MSW was diagnosed with Major Depression Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder in 2011, while in college. Jazmin Stearne

Jazmin is a mental health advocate and college student. She is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jazmin is pursuing degrees in psychology and communications. She feels it is extremely important to raise awareness for depression and other mental health disorders. She has dealt with major depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder for many years. Read more.

Amanda Workman

Amanda Workman is a dog mom and writer from South Texas. As far as mental health is concerned, she lives with major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder. Amanda also lives with chronic migraine, endometriosis, hypermobile ehlers-danlos syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, autonomic peripheral neuropathy, and chronic intractable pain. Read more.
